Fielding International, a global leader in school design, is seeking Architects and Architectural Designers with expertise in both interior and exterior architectural design, architectural coordination and building delivery to join us in making the world better by improving environments for learning.

We are looking for mid- to senior-level designers. The positions are based in Grand Rapids and Ferndale, Michigan. Our small, informal studios embrace a culture where collaboration is encouraged, ambition is valued, and diverse thinking is celebrated. While these studios will serve as your home base, we offer flexibility in when and where you work, along with opportunities to travel to projects across the country and around the world.

Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture
- Proficiency in Revit required; experience with other digital modeling tools is welcome
- Strong design and graphic communication skills across a variety of media
- Flexible, organized, and self-directed work style with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
Experience
- Demonstrated ability to create thoughtful interior and exterior environments that support learning, connection, and human development
- Ability to coordinate architectural design intent across building systems, materials, and consultant teams
- Experience leading projects through multiple phases of design, documentation, and delivery
- Experience with casework design, material detailing, and environmental graphics
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within interdisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and coordination of educational projects from concept through delivery
- Translate research, strategy, and client aspirations into thoughtful architectural solutions across interior and exterior environments
- Collaborate with diverse teams, clients, educators, and consultants in an open and iterative design process
- Contribute to conversations and explorations around the future of learning, pedagogy, and human-centered design
- Develop, design, and coordinate project deliverables including documentation, presentations, and client workshops across multiple project phases
- Help foster a studio culture grounded in curiosity, collaboration, optimism, and continuous learning
- Participate in domestic and international projects
- Contribute to material, furniture, and interior design specifications, along with the coordination of architectural documentation and detailing
- Support marketing initiatives that communicate Fielding’s design philosophy and work
