Learning Community – Working with “Cells and Bells”
Learning Community – Working with “Cells and Bells”
Problem
Communities around the world realize their built environment is getting in the way of the collaborative, creative, and innovative teaching and learning they envision. But what to do with isolated classrooms in a double-loaded corridor?
Solution
A Pathfinder project is a spatial pilot that opens a bevy of opportunities: activate the hallway, create a pocket Learning Commons, turn two isolated classrooms into a Learning Suite… the list could go on and on. These pilots give teachers and students the chance to collaborate and explore a range of learning modalities, giving everyone agency to control their own learning experience and get their needs met (without breaking the bank).
