Global Learning Commons

About

The Global Learning Commons is the Fielding International network of schools, districts, thought partners, designers, and architects leveraging their collective knowledge to grow and learn in this shifting paradigm.

We invite experts to share their insights on how to design and implement student-centered spaces and practices, we provide time and space for members to connect and learn from fellow practitioners, we give you one-on-one time to meet your needs and address your challenges, and we create opportunities for you to see examples of successful schools in action.

Become a part of our growing Global Learning Commons and connect with other like-minded professionals who care about schools where learners thrive.

How can you get involved?

Virtual Events

Faciliated monthly virtual engagements with breakout sessions to futher discuss content. Topics focus on how to transform space, pedagogy, and culture. Guest experts join to give insights into global innovation and what works.

Connections

Take part in activities like our book club, where we explore the latest ideas and perspectives together. Drop into open office hours, where Fielding International Learning Designers support educators in tackling challenges, celebrating successes, and building meaningful peer connections.

Workshops

In-person FLEx (Flexible Learning Environments) Bootcamps equip educators with practical tools and strategies to activate flexible learning environments and foster more collaborative teaching. Participants leave energized with tangible approaches they can immediately apply to their spaces while advancing their teaching practice.

School Tours

Experience in-person school tours that showcase flexible, collaborative learning environments in action. Hear directly from teachers and students about how learning comes to life—from routines and schedules to storage and furniture. Each tour ends with dedicated reflection time to explore how these ideas and strategies can be applied to your own space and practice.

There is no cost to join the Global Learning Commons. Our creation of the Global Learning Commons is a commitment to use our position as a Certified B Corporation™ to drive positive change in our industry and beyond.

Fielding International was the first school design company to receive B Corp certification, joining a global movement of companies committed to using business as a force for good. Together, we are a community of businesses using our collective power to solve some of the world’s most pressing challenges, such as climate change, inequality, and—in our position—education.

We strive to continuously engage our clients, employees, and partners to drive positive change in our communities and the world at large.
