Aria brings her passion for meaningful design and her imaginative creative thinking to tell the unique story of each project.”
As a designer who believes that community connections and empowerment is at the core of good design, Aria has a diverse background in architectural and urban design, as well as community engagement.
Previous to Fielding, Aria held various design and community engagement associate positions. In 2018, she was a designer with Trestle Strategy Group and Growing Up Boulder where she worked with the City of Boulder, Colorado and community stakeholders on urban planning and policy projects, including affordable housing, universal access design, sustainability, transportation, streetscapes, and more. During her time at University of Colorado Denver she was a participant in Colorado Building Workshop’s Design Build Certificate program where she completed the design and construction of summer camp cabins for youth at Cottonwood Gulch Camp in Navajo Nation, New Mexico. The project received multiple recognitions and awards, including the AIA Western Mountain Region Design Award and being featured in a 2020 publication ‘Small But Smart.’
Committed to serving and empowering communities to bring about positive change through design, Aria worked with and volunteered for the La Alma Lincoln Park neighborhood in downtown Denver to implement a design overlay that would preserve the architectural character and Chicanx culture along the Art District of Santa Fe Drive. She supported the resident-led initiative in carrying out an intensive engagement process within the community, and prepared application materials for the Design Overlay submittal to Denver Community Planning and Development.
As an Associate Designer, Aria brings her passion for meaningful design and her imaginative creative thinking to tell the unique story of each project. She has contributed her skillset to the Singapore American School, including designing the Elementary School and helping facilitate various workshops with teachers and faculty. She enjoys working with the diverse and highly skilled Fielding team to bring about designs that will impact their communities for generations to come. In her free time, you can find Aria roller skating at the local roller rink or in her favorite parks.
