Brian creates educational spaces that combine elegant form with flexible function. He has served as a Senior Designer on many innovative projects in the US, Canada and Asia, including the award-winning Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School in Alberta.
In 2020, Brian was the Lead Designer on a competition project for a million square foot plus secondary school campus on the Red Sea. He brings out the best in others on the design team, while designing, flexible, elegant, learner-centered spaces.
Based on client input, he develops master plans, schematic design, and design development documents in 2D and 3D. He also reviews work by associate architectural firms providing guidance to make sure that the final implementation is in accordance with Fielding International’s design intentions.
Brian holds a Master of Architecture degree from Washington University in Saint Louis, and Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto. He has training and experience in Rhino and the Adobe Creative Suite, and as well as in Revit and SketchUp.
Brian’s “super powers” include being detail-oriented, creative, having a knack for rapidly acquiring skills, a keen sense of observation, listening intently to clients, versatility, and patience. He also enjoys photography and woodworking.
