Joyce graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and minors in Sustainability and Construction Project Management. In school, she developed a passion for socially and environmentally sustainable design. She is particularly interested in public-facing buildings that center the human experience and foster connections in their community. She also spent a semester abroad in Florence, Italy, where she learned to appreciate the impact of place and culture on architecture. Since then, she has continued to enjoy traveling around the world to explore new places.
Growing up with an artistic background, Joyce enjoys exploring the design process and is excited about engaging the community throughout it. When she’s not at her desk, she can be found reading, grabbing coffee with friends, cooking and baking, and hiking.
