Karl Daubmann serves as Interim Provost and University Distinguished Professor at Lawrence Technological University, where he provides strategic academic leadership across all colleges. He also serves as Dean of the College of Architecture and Design, leading innovation in architectural education, design technology, and digital fabrication. A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and recipient of the prestigious Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome, Daubmann brings three decades of experience in design computing, robotic fabrication, and sustainable building practices. His work at the intersection of craft, technology, and pedagogy—including his role as former VP of Design at prefab housing company Blu Homes—reflects a commitment to innovative, environmentally-conscious design. Daubmann holds a Bachelors of Architecture from Roger Williams University and a Master of Science in Architectural Studies from MIT.
