What is the Commons?
Fielding’s Global Learning Commons is a network of schools and school leaders that connects regularly to discuss, learn, and grow around student-centered education.
The Commons offers a range of services to schools aiming to transition to a learner-centered paradigm of teaching, both in physical learning environments and pedagogical approaches. These services include:
- Monthly virtual engagements led by experts
- Small group sessions with a cohort of peers
- Individual coaching & consultation
- Access to a curated resource library
- In-person site visits of future-ready Fielding International schools
The Commons is a supportive community where best practices can be shared, questions answered, and ideas exchanged, ultimately helping educators and schools adapt and thrive in collaborative, flexible environments.
What will you get?
Virtual Workshops
Expert-led monthly 1 hour virtual engagements with breakout sessions. Topics focus on how to transform space, pedagogy, and culture. These monthly touch points are supplemented by optional monthly virtual small group sessions with a cohort of peers focused on troubleshooting and sharing best practices.
Optional Support
Virtual and in-person consulting is offered for individuals and groups at an additional cost to help address the specific needs of educators and school leaders. Please contact us for more information.
Resources
A searchable curated virtual library with a wide range of resource types and topics to meet your needs as well as a member directory with contact information and areas of focus to help connect with other participants.
Tours
In-person tours to see flexible collaborative environments in action. Hear from teachers and students how teaching and learning function from routines and schedules to storage and furniture. Workshops to reflect and transfer skills and ideas to your own district or building.
What will it cost?
There is no cost to join the Global Learning Commons. Our creation of the Global Learning Commons is a commitment to use our position as a Certified B Corporation™ to drive positive change in our industry and beyond.
